What is the ripple effect?
The ripple effect is where your business decisions may not affect your own energy output but it could affect the output of other companies. A simple example would be buying in bulk to ensure a supplier does not have to make regular deliveries to your office. So if you order chemical cleaning products then you would order them in one bulk delivery rather than in smaller purchases on a monthly basis. Similarly, if you are ordering books or training materials from Amazon then ensure you group items together to ensure they come as part of a bulk package. If you do this then those companies can save energy on transporting their deliveries and they can also become more productive.
